What time does the Sunday service start?
Our services start at 10:30am.
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or ask you to give in the offering. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while – and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the atmosphere, meet some great people and see if Fairmont Baptist might be your future church home.
How should I dress?
There is no dress code at Fairmont Baptist Church. Dress up or come casual, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable here to worship God openly and freely with us.
Am I expected to participate in the offering?
No. We don’t invite you to Fairmont Baptist Church for your money. We want our service to be a gift to the Lord and to you. We hope you will find a warm family friendly place, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please don’t feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
What kind of music should I expect to find?
We love great music that honors and glorifies God, and we hope you will enjoy the exciting way that we worship our Lord through singing at each service. Our songs include both traditional hymns and contemporary music that honors God in a worshipful way.
What are the children’s ministries like?
Children are a top priority at Fairmont Baptist. We take every precaution to insure the safety of each child. Every Sunday we offer Children’s Church during the morning worship service. This includes games, a Bible study just right for your children, and a craft. We view our children’s ministries as a vital aspect to our church’s health and are constantly working to make your children’s worship experience with us even better.
How long are the services?
Most services last about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Some go a little longer and some a little shorter as we don’t come to before the throne of grace to worship and watch the clock, but instead want the Holy Spirit to be free to move among us.
Do you provide a nursery?
Yes. We provide a nursery for ages 0 to 3 where you will be greeted by our friendly care workers. Our nursery is located adjacent to our sanctuary so your little ones are never far.
